IronCore Named a 'Cool Vendor in Data Security' by Gartner

We’re honored to announce that Gartner has recognized IronCore in its latest report, Gartner Cool Vendors in Data Security 2025: Securing Your Data in the Age of GenAI and Quantum Computing. This is a big milestone for IronCore and a huge acknowledgement of the hard work and innovation we’ve brought to protecting data in AI systems.

This year’s report focused on the two biggest problems in data protection today: being ready for quantum computers and protecting data in AI systems. Our SaaS Shield product is great at helping developers stay crypto agile so no code needs to be rewritten as encryption standards evolve and change. Gartner has recognized us for our work there in the past.

This time around, Gartner focused on our Cloaked AI product and its unique ability to protect the large swaths of AI data stored as vector embeddings, which are used in vector search, facial recognition, for training classification models, and much more. Gartner was very positive about our solution and recommended that anyone with sensitive data used in AI, including healthcare, finance, and government, evaluate it for their use case. Unfortunately, we can’t quote from it, but if you have access to Gartner’s reports, you can check it out for yourself.

We’ve been speaking at a number of conferences lately (RMISC, DEF CON, AI Risk Summit) and are scheduled for more this year (OWASP Global is one). We’ll post the videos as they become available. Although each of these talks is different, one of the major themes has been around the rapid adoption of AI well ahead of security measures that protect the applications using AI or the data they hold. We have stats to back this up.

For example, the Cost of a Data Breach Report 2025 tells us that 63% of organizations don’t even have an AI governance policy or are still developing one and of the 47% who do have a policy, less than half have any sort of approval process for AI deployments.

Yet nearly 100% of corporate America has adopted AI either through 3rd party tooling central to their operations or by embedding into their own apps.

Gartner is shining a light on data protection for AI because it is easily the biggest risk to hit software in twenty years.

We’re glad to offer a solution for companies who want to allow AI to intersect with their private and confidential data while keeping that data secure and private.
